Crimson reds, cobalt blues, pale pinks, and rich greens: when it comes to creating a colorful room, there is an endless range of hues to choose from and play around with! You can see plenty of palette possibilities on display in this round up of the 50 most colorful house tours , a post which kicked off Apartment Therapy’s color month. It was full of a gorgeous array of homes bursting with vibrant shades. In continuing with our celebration of color this month, I’ve asked my fellow Apartment Therapy editors to share what their favorite, most colorful rooms (from house tours) are, and their answers are below. Do any of their picks match your favorite room?

“My favorite color is black, but my favorite COLOR color is an electric blue, so clearly as soon as I saw this Brooklyn apartment I was smitten. If you look up “pop of color” in the dictionary, these are the photos you see. From the kitchen cabinets, to the art, to the dang painters tape on the inspiration board, this blue makes a statement.”

“The L.A. rental of Amina and Salvatore has got to be one of my all time favorite tours. They covered the place with a rainbow of pastels, including this splattered ombré wall treatment. It’s my ’80s childhood fantasy apartment and also my current inspiration.”

“Blue is my absolute family color family, and so I immediately gravitate toward this all-blue oasis . I love the subtle way the blue and white paint bleed together on the walls, and the decor inspired by different places and time periods creates a sort of time warp. Plus, who doesn’t love a good canopy?”

“ I’ve said it before I’ll say it again: My dream home looks like a White Stripes video, and in my dream home, this is the bathroom . It brilliantly (and subtly!) blends the primary colors in a way that feels childlike, with a touch of the sinister. It’s bold and loud, but also classic without being (too) clownish.”

“I let out an audible gasp when I first saw the rich, dark green in this kitchen . It looks so stunning with the natural light and gold fixtures, but what made me gasp again was when I read that the homeowner mixed the paint color herself! It’s so luxe and rich-looking, but manages to not make the whole kitchen look dark. I’m probably going to gasp every time I look at it.”

“In my dreams, my kitchen is pink. But until that becomes my reality, I will bookmark photos of pink kitchens—including this one in Bushwick, Brooklyn . Jennifer and Matt share it with their two daughters and two chickens. I love how the blush looks against the monochromatic black (those stools!). Even better, the space is a DIY from the couple.”

It’s a bit unfair to list my favorite most colorful room considering I’m the one who chose all 50 of the most colorful house tours of all time, but I felt like there was a recent vibrant room really calling out to me. This Victorian house in San Francisco combines all the things I love: bold colors, wacky patterns, and a medley of different design styles. But the sunny sitting room features an incredibly energetic and warm color palette of hot pink and gold and it’s the kind of cheery space that could lift even the grayest mood.
